Talbot will start Sunday vs. the Senators.

Talbot stopped all 26 shots that he faced in the Oilers’ shutout win over the Canucks on Friday. Talbot is off to a sensational start to 2016-17. He currently leads the NHL with seven wins and has posted a stellar 2.17 GAA, .934 SV% and two shutouts in the process. Don’t hesitate to get him into your lineup, even against a Senators team that is eighth in the NHL in goals for (3.14 GF/PG).

Talbot has won three of his first four starts while posting a 3.92 GAA and .886 SV% and will make his fifth consecutive start tonight vs. the Blues. St. Louis comes into the game at 3-0-1 and they are averaging 3.00 goals per game.

So far, he has allowed nine goals on 78 shots (.885 SV%) and has only had an average of 1.67 goals for per game scored in front of him. It could be a long season for the Ducks and Gibson.

Talbot was yanked in Sunday’s game only to return to replace the injured Jonas Gustavsson. He ended up finishing the night with six goals against on 23 shots in a losing effort. Talbot has given up 13 shots in three games while posting a 2-1-0 record and .869 SV%. Things shouldn’t get any easier tonight vs. a Hurricanes team that has started 0-0-2, but scored seven goals in their efforts.
