Ekblad (lower body) will draw back into the Panthers' lineup on Tuesday.

Ekblad did not play in the Panthers' dominating 9-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday due to a lower-body injury but will re-enter the lineup on Tuesday night against the Ottawa Senators. After a four-point night on January 19th, Ekblad has been held without a point in eight of his last nine games.

Petrovic has been reassigned to the Texas Stars (AHL).

Petrovic made his season debut with Dallas yesterday, registering two shots and two hits in 12:52 time-on-ice, but has been reassigned to Texas to make room for the call-up of Logan Stankoven. Additionally, Miro Heiskane will draw back into the lineup on the blueline after not playing on Monday to attend the birth of his child.

Markstrom will return to the crease on Monday, looking to rebound after a poor outing on Saturday. Markstrom allowed four goals on 12 shots (.667 SV%) and did not finish the contest in an eventual 5-0 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday. The Flames enter action on Monday as a +113 home underdog against a Winnipeg Jets club riding a three-game winning streak.

With Nils Lundkvist experiencing concussion-like symptoms, Jani Hakanpaa suffering from an upper-body injury, and Miro Heiskanen away from the team for the birth of his child, the Dallas Stars have opted to recall defensemen Alex Petrovic and Derrick Pouliot from the Texas Stars. Petrovic has played 263 career NHL games, mainly with the Florida Panthers between the 2012-13 and 2018-19 seasons, but has played exclusively in the NHL since 2019-20. The 31-year-old Petrovic has 16 points (3G / 13A) in 44 games with Texas (AHL) this season.

Schwindt returned to the Flames lineup on Thursday, his first game since January 27th, and has been reassigned to the Calgary Wrangles (AHL). The 22-year-old rookie right-winger has appeared in four games this season for the Flames, playing a minor role and picking up one SOG, two PIMs, and a -1 plus/minus while averaging less than seven minutes time-on-ice.

Bjornfot has been reassigned to Henderson (AHL) on a long-term injury conditioning loan.

Bjornfit has been out of the lineup and on Injured Reserve since January 10th and will report to the Henderson Silver Knights of the AHL for a conditioning stint. Before his injury, Bjornfot played three games for the Golden Knights, recording two hits and five blocks while averaging 12:44 time-on-ice.

Schmid has been recalled from Utica (AHL) on Monday.

With Vitek Vanecek battling an illness and lower-body injury, the Devils have recalled Akira Schmid from the Utica Comets of the AHL. Schmid started the season with the Devils but was demoted to the AHL after a poor start. The 23-year-old Schmid has struggled at the AHL level as well this season, posting a 3.58 GAA and .885 SV% in 12 games (3-5-4).

Markstrom will start for the sixth straight game on Monday night as he and the Flames look to extend their winning streak to five games. After posting a pedestrian .896 SV% in his first 16 games (6-8-2), Markstrom has been a leading force in helping the Flames compete for a playoff position, posting an exceptional .936 SV% in his 16 games since (11-5-0). The Flames are +144 road underdogs against a New York Rangers club also riding a four-game winning streak.
