Every time he plays his former team it is an intriguing matchup, but the Devils are struggling offensively, making it hard to trust Schneider.
Schneider stopped all 22 shots he faced on Saturday. It was his first shutout of the season, so he earns another start vs. the Blue Jackets on Tuesday. It is a good matchup for Schneider.

It will be his first start against the Capitals after playing in Washington from 2008-11. It would be tough to bench Varlamov after his start, but Alex Ovechkin and the Caps pose some problems.
Panik will look to get back into head coach Jon Cooper's good side after being a healthy scratch on Tuesday. He has no points and a minus-2 rating in two games.
