Goaltender Cory Schneider is not in Boston with the Devils and will not dress for tonight’s game becuase of a lower-body injury.

Devils GM Lou Lamoriello said Schneider is “sore”, but they don’t consider his injury to be serious. He also said Brodeur would have started tonight even if Schneider was healthy.

Schneider will start vs. Vancouver.

Schneider will make his second start vs. his former team on Thursday. He allowed three goals on 32 shots in an overtime loss to the Canucks on October 8th. He also stopped 20 of 23 shots in a loss vs. Columbus Tuesday evening. Every time he plays his former team it is an intriguing matchup, but the Devils are struggling offensively, making it hard to trust Schneider.

Varalmov starts Tuesday vs. Dallas.

Varlamov has started four games and allowed one goal in each start. He is 4-0-0 with a 1.00 GAA and .970 SV%, he will try to continue to shock the fantasy world tomorrow against the Stars. Dallas is forced to start their second or third goalie, so Varly has a good chance to start 5-0.

Schneider gets the call tomorrow.

Schneider is still searching for his first win. He lost his last start in his return to Vancouver 3-2 in OT. He stopped 29 of 32 shots he faced and looked good but the Devils offence isn't producing enough. He has a good chance to break into the win column tomorrow vs. the Jets.

Varlamov to start vs. his former team tomorrow night.

Varlamov will start tomorrow after getting the night off on Thursday. He He has allowed one goal in all three games and sits a 3-0 with a 1.00 GAA and .967 SV%. It will be his first start against the Capitals after playing in Washington from 2008-11. It would be tough to bench Varlamov after his start, but Alex Ovechkin and the Caps pose some problems.
