Sheary will miss 4-6 weeks with an upper-body injury.

Sheary was hurt during Tuesday’s win over the Predators and will miss at least one month. This is a tough break for the young winger, who has built up a great chemistry with Sidney Crosby this season. Sheary is third on the Penguins in goals (17) and his injury should allow Chris Kunitz or Jake Guentzel to move to the top line.

Elliott will start Wednesday vs. the Wild.

Elliott allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Flames win in Ottawa last Thursday. The Flames have been operating on a win and you’re in strategy, so let’s see if Elliott can get on a roll with the All-Star break behind us. He was 2-3-1 with a 2.50 GAA and .892 SV% in January and will be in tough vs. Devan Dubnyk and the Wild this evening.

Point (upper-body) took part in the morning skate; expected to return on Tuesday.

Point has been out since December 28th, but could be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Bruins. Point took part in Monday’s practice and took part in line rushes this morning, both suggests that he will play tonight. Consider him a game-time decision.

The Devils have recalled Steven Santini from Albany (AHL).

Santini, 21, has two goals and three assists in 13 games with the Devils this season. He was sent to Albany during the All-Star break, but returns after a strong showing before the break. The former second round pick hasn’t recorded a point in 15 games with Albany.
