Tanev (mumps) is hopeful that he will play on Tuesday.

Tanev missed Saturday’s game vs. the Sharks because of the mumps, but was on the ice for Monday’s practice and is expected to play Tuesday vs. the Red Wings. Tanev is a key member of the Canucks’ blueline, but isn’t an offensive threat—he has just six points (1G / 5A) in 36 games this season.

Rielly (lower-body) will be a game-time decision on Thursday.

Rielly missed his sixth consecutive game on Tuesday despite taking part in the morning skate and he was on the ice again this afternoon. Rielly skated with Frankie Corrado as an extra, but remains a game-time decision so check his status when the Maple Leafs hit the ice for warmups.

Domi (hand) returned to practice on Wednesday; could play as soon as Thursday.

Domi has missed the last 23 games after undergoing surgery on his hand. Domi was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice and the Coyotes didn’t rule out a possible return on Thursday. Monitor his status during tomorrow’s morning skate.

Max Domi
Domi (hand) has been upgraded to day-to-day; expected to skate with the team on Tuesday.

Domi skated by himself for 30 minutes on Monday and is expected to join his team on the ice tomorrow. Domi has been sidelined since December 8th and the Coyotes are confident that he will return to the lineup within two weeks.

Rielly (lower-body) practiced on Monday; expected to play on Tuesday.

Rielly missed the final five games before the All-Star break, but was on the ice for today’s practice and should be in the lineup tomorrow. Rielly didn’t confirm that he will play, so monitor his status during tomorrow’s morning skate, but all signs are pointing towards the Maple Leafs getting their No.1 defenseman back.

McCabe (shoulder) is doubtful for Saturday’s game.

McCabe left Friday’s game after playing just 56 seconds and did not return. McCabe left with a shoulder injury after falling to the ice in a collision and likely won’t be in the lineup on Saturday. The Sabres recalled Casey Nelson on Saturday morning, which suggests McCabe is out.

Jake McCabe
Rielly (lower-body) is day-to-day and will not play on Thursday.

Rielly left Tuesday’s game with a lower-body injury after crashing into the boards and retired to the dressing room after playing just 2:57 TOI. Rielly is day-to-day and will not play Thursday, which means that Frank Corrado will draw into the lineup for the second time this season.

Rielly missed the Maple Leafs’ morning skate, but will play in New Jersey.

Rielly was given the morning off in New Jersey, but will be in the lineup vs. the Devils. Rielly has had a solid season, picking up 17 points (1G / 16A) across 37 games. Rielly is on-pace for a career-high 186 shots and his 1.2 shooting percentage should improve and he will start finding the back of the net with more regularity.
