Hellebuyck allowed five goals on 36 shots in the Jets’ loss in Los Angeles last Thursday. Michael Hutchinson got the last two games, but Hellebuyck will go tonight in New Jersey. In his last seven starts, Hellebuyck has just one win and a terrible 4.06 GAA and .863 SV%.

Hellebuyck gave up five goals on 42 shots in the Jets’ loss in Nashville on Monday. Tuesday’s game in New Jersey was postponed, so Hellebuyck will return to the crease tonight in Brooklyn. He was pulled in his first start against the Islanders after allowing four goals on 15 shots.

Hellebuyck surrendered three goals on 29 shots in the Jets’ loss to the Flames on Saturday. Hellebuyck has dropped three straight starts while allowing a combined 10 goals on 73 shots (.863 SV%). Despite hitting a rough stretch, the Jets really have no choice but to stick with him as they try to push for the playoffs.

Namestnikov (lower-body) will be a game-time decision on Monday.

Namestnikov missed Saturday’s game vs. the Panthers, but was on the ice for the morning skate and head coach Jon Cooper said he is a “possibility” for tonight’s game in New York. Namestnikov has nine goals and 15 assists (24 points) in 62 games this season.

Hellebuyck was pulled after he allowed five goals on 15 shots in the Jets’ loss to the Penguins. Hellebuyck hasn’t been give a night off since Ondrej Pavelec got hurt and tonight he will make his 14th straight start. In his only start against the Flames this season Hellebuyck posted a 28-save shutout.

Namestnikov played just 6:52 TOI before exiting Thursday’s game with a lower-body injury. Namestnikov doesn’t have a big fantasy impact given he has just nine goals and 15 assists (24 points) in 62 games this season, but he plays a key role in the Lightning offence, especially after they traded Valtteri Filppula to Philadelphia.

Hellebuyck has gone 13-8-1 with a 2.42 GAA and .921 SV% on home ice this season and tonight he’ll face the Penguins for the second time—he allowed four goals on 39 shots in a 4-3 OT loss in the first.

Nyquist missed Monday’s practice with an illness, but was on the ice for today’s morning skate and will be in the lineup against Toronto. Nyquist registered two shots in 13:48 TOI in his return from suspension and will skate with Henrik Zetterberg and Tomas Tatar tonight.
