Gudas has not played since Dec. 3rd due to a concussion and is hopeful and expected to return Thursday as the Panthers take on the Montreal Canadiens. The 32-year-old bruiser has two goals, six points, 49 SOG and 39 PIMs in 25 games prior to the injury

Ekblad was considered day-to-day with an upper-body injury but it seems will not miss any time as he is expected to be in the Panthers' lineup Thursday vs. Montreal. The 26-year-old has had another injury-riddled season, but still managed to put up four goals, 10 assists and 72 SOG through 24 games played.

Barkov has six goals, 16 assists, 82 SOG and a +5 plus/minus through 25 games played and is hopeful and expected to return Thursday vs. Montreal. Barkov missed 15 games last season due to injury and will be hoping this is the last of his injuries this season after multiple trips so far to the shelf.

Poehling missed the Penguins' previous game vs. the New York Rangers due to an upper-body injury and will head to the injured reserve Wednesday. The 23-year-old has four goals, four assists, 34 SOG and a +3 plus/minus through 30 games this season prior to the injury.

Caggiula will return to the Pittsburgh Penguins for the second time this season after failing to pick up a point in his previous three games with the big club. In Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL), he has four goals, 10 assists, and 14 PIMs in 23 games prior to his promotion Wednesday.

Smith has been recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) for the first time this season after scoring four goals, 10 assists, and 10 PIMs in 26 games. The 22-year-old has seven goals, 36 assists, and 146 SOG across 114 previous NHL games with the New Jersey Devils.

Wilson has yet to play in 2022-23 due to off-season ACL surgery but is very close to returning as he is skating with the Capitals at practice. The 28-year-old has 115 goals, 158 assists, and 1211 PIMs through 647 career NHL games played and will make an immediate physical impact upon his long-awaited return to the lineup.

Monahan hasn't played since Dec. 5th due to a lower-body injury but skated for the first time Wednesday and is nearing a return soon. The 28-year-old has six goals, 11 assists, 55 SOG and 16 PIMs in 25 games prior to the injury.

Vasilevskiy stopped 36 of 38 shots (.947 SV%) as he snapped a three-game winning streak in a hard-fought loss vs. Toronto in his last start. The 28-year-old has been his usual solid self this season, with his 13-9-1 record, .917 SV% and 2.53 GAA. He will face the struggling Montreal Canadiens, who have lost five of their last six contests after a 4-2 loss to Dallas in their last game.

Barron has seven goals, nine assists, six PIMS and is a -3 plus/minus with the Laval Rockets (AHL) before being promoted to the Canadiens. The 21-year-old played in seven NHL games prior to this season, with a goal and an assist. He will draw into the Canadiens' lineup Wednesday.

Wideman has four assists, 24 SOG and 41 PIMs in 21 games played so far this season but will be a healthy scratch Wednesday vs. Tampa Bay. Justin Barron will be making his season debut in his place.

Allen allowed three goals on 35 shots (.914 SV%) as he picked up his fourth straight loss in a defeat to Dallas his last time out. The 32-year-old has struggled for most of the season but still holds his starter's spot, with his 9-13-1 record, 3.26 GAA and .900 SV%. He will face the Tampa Bay Lightning, who lost their last game 7-4 to the Detroit Red Wings but are third in the NHL in goals per game (3.59).

Drury had two assists, 32 SOG, 10 PIMs and a +4 plus/minus in a bottom-six role across 21 games with the Hurricanes' but will head back down to Chicago (AHL) for the second time this season. In Chigaco, he had a goal, two assists and six PIMs in eight games prior to his previous promotion.

Lycksell has been recalled for the second time this season after failing to pick up a point in his previous three-game showing with the Flyers. Lycksell had five goals, 13 assists and four PIMs in 19 games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (AHL) prior to his promotion Wednesday.

Hart was forced to leave the Flyers' previous game against Carolina after just 9:54 TOI due to an upper-body injury and is day-to-day as he will head to the injured reserve. The 24-year-old was 10-11-6 with a 2.89 GAA and .911 SV% this season prior to the injury.

Larsson has been recalled from Belleville (AHL) for the second time this season after failing to pick up a point in his first three-game showing with the Senators earlier this season but getting four PIMs. Larsson had five assists, 14 PIMs and a -13 plus/minus in 24 games with Belleville (AHL) prior to his promotion.
