Binnington allowed three goals on 37 shots (.919 SV%) as he lost his fifth straight start his last time out vs. Boston. The 29-year-old has been bad this season, posting a .886 SV% and 3.37 GAA along with his 3-5-0 record. He takes on the San Jose Sharks who have amazingly lost three straight games in a shootout after their 5-4 loss to Anaheim their previous time out.





Vanecek stopped 33 of 35 shots (.943 SV%) to pick up his sixth straight victory in a 3-2 win over Calgary his last time out. He holds a 6-1-0 record after losing only his first start of the season while posting a .915 SV% and 2.17 GAA for the Devils. He takes on a struggling Ottawa Senators team that has lost six straight contests.

Hart missed the Flyers' previous game due to Illness but stopped 33 of 34 shots (.971 AV%) in his previous start in a win vs. Ottawa. Hart has been having a Vezina-worthy start to the season, with a 6-0-2 record, .946 SV% and 1.97 GAA. He takes on the Columbus Blue Jackets, who are currently on a five-game losing streak.

Thompson stopped 28 of 31 shots (.903 SV%) to pick up his fifth straight win in a 4-3 victory over Toronto his last game. He has been making a strong Calder Trophy push this season with his 7-2-0 record, .930 SV% and .212 GAA. He's taking not he Buffalo Sabres, who have lost their last three games but rank 2nd in the NHL in goals for per game (3.85).

Head Coach Rod Brind'Amour announced Thursday that starting goaltender Frederik Andersen will be out a little more than day-to-day but stopped short of saying week-to-week. Stastny was a healthy scratch for the Hurricanes' game Wednesday but will find his way back into the lineup Thursday vs. Edmonton. In 12 games played this season, he has four assists and seven SOG.

Kochetkov will get his first NHL start of the season Thursday after posting a 2-2-1 record, along with a 3.00 GAA and .911 SV% with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL. He draws the tough start of the Edmonton Oilers, who rank third in the NHL in goals per game (3.79) fueled in part by their 2nd ranked Powerplay which converts at a 32.7% rate.

Vejmelka stopped 32 of 33 shots (.970 SV%) to win his third straight start vs. Buffalo his last time out. The second-year pro has played well this season, posting a 4-3-1 record alongside his .908 SV% and 3.41 GAA. He faces off against an incredible hot New York Islanders team that has won seven of their last eight contests.

Gross is a surprising scratch after scoring two goals on six SOG through his first three games. The 27-year-old will head to the press box Thursday.

Sanford has one goal and one assist through seven games this season with a -2 plus/minus rating.

McCarron will head to the press box after playing eight games with the Predators so far this season. He has two points (1G/1A) and is a +1 plus/minus with 10 SOG on the season.

Tolvanen has been a healthy scratch for the last three games for Nashville after putting up three points (1G/2A) in eight games to start the season along with 11 SOG.
