Georgiev will start Wednesday against the Islanders.

Georgiev allowed one goal on six shots after replacing Henrik Lundqvist in the Rangers loss to the Islanders last Thursday. With the Islanders in town tonight, Georgiev will get another crack at them. The 22-year-old netminder is 3-2-0 with a 3.60 GAA and .894 SV% in the NHL this season and 2-1-0 with a 3.01 GAA and .902 SV% in three AHL starts.

Alexandar Georgiev
Rask (hand) was a full participant in Tuesday’s practice.

Rask has missed the first 20 games of the season, but returned to practice on Tuesday and will be in the lineup “as soon as possible,” according to head coach Rod Brind’Amour. Rask will continue to practice with the Hurricanes but his return date is still up in the air.

Victor Rask
Jones will start Tuesday vs. the Oilers.

Jones allowed five goals on 34 shots in the Sharks loss to the Maple Leafs last Thursday. Jones’ numbers in November are pretty rough—4-2-2, 3.38 GAA and .883 SV%. As poor as he’s been this month, he is 6-2-1 on home-ice and faces a team that just fired their coach, so they’re obviously not playing good hockey right now.

Martin Jones
Khudobin will start Wednesday in Pittsburgh.

Khudobin stopped nine of 10 shots after replacing an injured Ben Bishop in the Stars loss in New York on Monday. With Bishop set to miss the next week, Khudobin should start the next three games, starting with tonight’s game in Los Angeles. The 32-year-old is 1-2-1 with a 2.08 GAA and .937 SV% in four games on the road this season.

Anton Khudobin
Anderson will start Wednesday against the Wild.

Anderson surrendered six goals on 22 shots in the Senators loss to the Panthers on Monday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Anderson, who is now 5-3-1 with a ridiculous 4.16 GAA and .893 SV%. It’s been a struggle for him in six road starts this season—2-2-1, 4.38 GAA, .884 SV%.

Craig Anderson
Vanek (lower-body) is expected to return to the Red Wings lineup on Wednesday.

Vanek has missed the last eight games, but is expected to play Wednesday vs. the Bruins. Vanek has had a slow start offensively, picking up just two goals and three assists (five points) in 12 games this season.

Thomas Vanek
Hischier (hand) is expected to return to the Devils lineup on Wednesday.

Hischier has missed the last four games with what he said was a hand injury on Tuesday. Hischier will likely be re-united with Taylor Hall on the Devils top-line vs. Montreal on Wednesday. He has 12 points (3G / 9A) in 15 games so far this season.

Nico Hischier
Bishop is expected to miss one week with a lower-body injury.

Bishop was forced to leave Monday’s game in New York with a lower-body injury. Bishop is dealing with a muscle strain and will miss at least one week. Anton Khudobin will take over as the Stars No.1 netminder and Landon Bow is expected to be recall as his backup.

Ben Bishop
Trocheck will undergo surgery to repair significant damage to his leg; out long-term.

Trocheck suffered a gruesome injury in Ottawa on Monday night and could miss the rest of the 2018-19 season. The Panthers likely won’t release an official timetable until after Trocheck’s surgery, but their centre depth just took a huge hit. Henrik Borgstrom could be recalled to fill-in for the 25-year-old.

Vincent Trocheck
Bergeron sustained a rib and sternoclavicular injury; will be re-evaluated in four weeks.

Bergeron was hurt in Dallas on Friday night and expected to miss at least one month. Bergeron will be re-evaluated in mid-December, so David Krejci is expected to get an extended look on the Bruins’ top-line. Ryan Donato is a candidate to be recalled to help with forward depth while Bergeron is out.

Patrice Bergeron
Hertl (lower-body) is expected to return to the Sharks lineup on Tuesday.

Hertl has missed the last two games and five of the last seven, but is expected to play Tuesday vs. the Oilers. Hertl is expected to be back on a line with Logan Couture and Timo Meier, where he has spent the majority of the season. Hertl has 16 points (5G / 11A) in 16 games.

Tomas Hertl
Hellebuyck will start Monday in Vancouver.

Hellebuyck stopped 27 of 28 shots in the Jets win over the Capitals last Wednesday. Laurent Brossoit started on Friday, so Hellebuyck comes into tonight’s game well rested. The 25-year-old has won three straight games and stopped 26 of 27 shots in a 4-1 win in his first start against the Canucks.
