Rask will start vs. the Devils.

Rask gave up two goals on 26 shots in the Bruins’ 5-2 win over the Oilers on Thursday. Rask has now won three in a row and five of his last six, while posting a 2.16 GAA and .929 SV%. He is a must-start against a .500 Devils team who have lost three in a row.

Tuukka Rask
Oshie (concussion) is skating in a no-contact sweater this morning.

This is the first time that Oshie has skated since suffering a concussion on October 28th. He has missed the last six games and is reportedly not very close to returning. Being back at practice is a good sign that he is recovering, but he needs to shed the no-contact jersey before a return is can be considered close.

T.J. Oshie
Baertschi (illness) will not play on Monday.

Baertschi has not recorded a point while posting a minus-4 rating and six shots in four games during his recall. With Baertschi out, either Brian McGrattan or the recently recalled Max Reinhart will move into the lineup. Consider Baertschi day-to-day.

Sven Baertschi
Bellemore will not play Monday because of an upper-body injury.

Bellemore was not on the ice for the Hurricanes morning skate and head coach Bill Peters said that he is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Tim Gleason and John-Michael Liles are also nicked up, so the Hurricanes have recalled Michal Jordan from Charlotte (AHL).

Brett Bellemore
Rask was the first goalie off of the ice at the Bruins morning skate.

Tuukka Rask
Kulikov (knee) is not at Panthers’ practice on Monday.

Kulikov left Saturday’s game after a collision with Lance Bouma. He had an MRI and the results were encouraging as he did not sustain any serious damage to his knee. He will likely be sidelined for a little while, but it sounds like he avoided going on the shelf for an extended period of time. He will be replaced by Colby Robak if he can’t play tomorrow.

Dmitry Kulikov
Bailey (hand) has returned to Isles’ practice on Monday.

Bailey has missed the last seven games with a broken hand that he suffered on October 23 vs. the Bruins. It is unlikely that Bailey will return to the lineup tomorrow, but this is a step in the right direction for Bailey. Monitor his status as the week progresses, he should travel to Florida on Wednesday.

Josh Bailey
Krejci (hip) will not play Monday.

Krejci continues to be hampered by a sore hip and will now miss his third of the Bruins last four games. The 28-year-old centre has 10 points (3G / 7A) in 10 games despite being bothered by hip pain, but it has become too much to play through. He is listed as day-to-day.

David Krejci
Krug (finger) will be a game-time decision on Monday.

Krug missed the last four games with a broken finger, but it looks like he could be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Devils. The Bruins recently lost David Warsofsky for 2-4 weeks, so he would simply slide into that spot. He has two goals and four assists in 11 games this season. Krug has averaged 20:28 TOI this season, but with Zdeno Chara still sidelined, expect him to play closer to 25 minutes.

Torey Krug
Ward was the first off the ice this morning.

Ward stopped 29 of 31 shots in 3-2 win over the Blue Jackets on Friday. Ward extended his winning streak to four games, while allowing just six goals on 107 shots (.944 SV%) over that span. He has reemerged among the NHL’s top goalies as of late and after sitting on Saturday, he will look to make it five in a row tonight vs. the Flames.

Cam Ward
Gleason (upper-body) is on the ice for the Canes’ morning skate.

Gleason missed the last two games with an upper-body injury and the Hurricanes recalled Michal Jordan this morning, which suggested he would miss three in a row, but it now looks like he will play vs. the Flames. He has two assists in 11 games.

Tim Gleason
Skinner moves to the top-line on Monday.

After spending last week on the Hurricanes’ third-line, Skinner is skating with Eric Staal and Alex Semin at the game day skate. Skinner has picked up a goal and assist in his last two games and should be able to keep it going tonight on the top-line.

Jeff Skinner
Krejci (hip) is not on the ice for the Bruins morning skate; listed as doubtful to play.

This is the fourth straight day that Krejci has not been on the ice. He returned to the lineup last Thursday after a two-game absence, but it looks like he will be out of the lineup once again. If he is out, expect Chris Kelly to move back up into the top-6.

The Hurricanes have recalled Michal Jordan from Charlotte (AHL).

Jordan, 24, has two assists in 10 games with the Checkers (AHL) this season. He has been recalled because John-Michael Liles left Saturday’s game with an injury and Tim Gleason is day-to-day. He will likely make his season debut tonight vs. the Flames. Jordan has no points in five career NHL games.
