Elliott starts Tuesday vs. the Flames.

Elliott stopped 23 of 24 shots in the Blues season opening win against the Oilers. He was given Saturday night off, but he will be back in goal tonight in Calgary. Elliott won his only start against the Flames last season and went 13-6-2 with a 2.22 GAA and .923 SV% on the road.

Brian Elliott
Perry and Getzlaf may be reunited on Monday vs. Vancouver.

Perry and Getzlaf were split up to start their season opener but were reunited midway through the third period. The Ducks were shutout in their opener which is another reason that coach Bruce Boudreau will likely put the duo back together. Perry had one shot on goal and a minus-1 rating in 16:03 TOI on Saturday.

Ryan Getzlaf
Miller starts in goal vs. the Ducks.

Miller surrendered three goals on 38 shots in the Canucks overtime loss to the Flames on Saturday. Miller has played well through two games, stopping 64 of 68 shots (.941 SV%) but the Canucks giving up 32 shots per game is something they will need to work on going forward. Miller draws a tough matchup tonight in Anaheim.

Ryan Miller
Fabbri is out indefinitely with a concussion.

Fabbri was injured in the first period of Saturday’s 3-2 loss to the Wild. Blues coach Ken Hitchcock was not impressed with the hit calling it a “shot to the head.” The Blues are considering him day-to-day, but don’t plan on updating his status until he is cleared to return to practice. With Fabbri out, either Scottie Upshall or Scott Gomez are expected to play on Tuesday.

Robby Fabbri
King will be out for 8-10 weeks after undergoing surgery on his broken foot.

King was injured while blocking a shot in the Kings’ preseason finale on October 3rd. His 8-10 week timetable puts him on pace to return in late-November to mid-December. With King out expect forwards like Dustin Brown and Trevor Lewis to take on bigger roles.

Dwight King
Miller is expected to start Monday vs. the Ducks.

The Panthers have assigned Rocco Grimaldi to Portland (AHL).

Grimaldi, who is on IR because of an ankle injury was sent to Portland likely because he is nearing a return to action. Grimaldi will probably get a back up to game speed at the AHL level before returning to the Panthers.

Rocco Grimaldi
Montoya is expected to start Tuesday’s game in Carolina.

In Montoya’s first season with the Panthers he went 6-7–2 with a 3.01 GAA and .892 SV% and it looks like he will get his first start tonight vs. Carolina. Montoya is a strong backup, worthy of a spot-start sometimes, but this early in the week, you probably don’t need to look for a spot-start just yet. He comes in with a career 2.69 GAA and .907 SV%.

Al Montoya
Johnson leads the Sabres onto the ice for warmups.

Johnson allowed four goals on 31 shots in his first start of the season. They lost 4-1 to the Lightning, but Johnson played well enough to earn another start today vs. the Blue Jackets. So far this season he has allowed five goals on 50 shots (.875 SV%) which certainly isn’t great. There are better options than Johnson on Monday.

Chad Johnson
Andersen will start Monday vs. the Canucks.

Andersen made 42 saves on 44 shots in the Ducks 2-0 shutout loss to the Sharks on Saturday. Andersen was spectacular, but it wasn’t enough because his teammates couldn’t crack Martin Jones at the other end. Andersen draws a god matchup tonight against a Canucks team he was 3-1-1 with a 1.35 GAA and .936 SV% against last season.

Frederik Andersen
Hiller was in the starter's net on Monday; probable to start on Tuesday.

Hiller allowed two goals on 30 shots in the Flames overtime win over Vancouver on Saturday. Hiller earned himself a second straight start as he gets set to face the Blues tonight. Hiller lost his only start against St. Louis last season, while going 15-10-2 with a 2.35 GAA and .908 SV% on home ice.

Jonas Hiller
Bobrovsky will start Monday afternoon vs. the Sabres.

Bobrovksy was pulled after allowing four goals on 22 shots in the Blue Jackets 5-2 loss in New York on Saturday. It was his second game in as many nights, which is never an easy thing to do, but Bobrovksy struggled mightily. He enters play on Monday having allowed eight goals on 47 shots (.830 SV%) but draws a strong matchup vs. the Sabres.

Sergei Bobrovsky
Lundqvist will start his fourth consecutive game on Tuesday.

Lundqvist allowed two goals on 39 shots in the Rangers’ 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets on Saturday. Lundqvist has enjoyed a stellar start to the 2015-16 season, winning his first three starts while allowing just six goals on 106 shots (.943 SV%). He draws a strong matchup tonight vs. the Jets who lost badly to the Islanders on Monday.

Henrik Lundqvist
Yakupov continues to skate with McDavid and Pouliot.

Yakupov finished Saturday’s game on the Oilers’ second line with Connor McDavid and Benoit Pouliot and in practice on Monday he found himself there again. Yakupov has had a rough time cracking the Oilers’ top six, but if he starts producing on a line with McDavid, look out.
