Hurricanes head coach Kirk Muller would not disclose his starting goalie when addressing the media. We will stick with Peters after Anton Khudobin played yesterday. We will have to wait until pre-game warmups to confirm the Carolina starter.

Peters has not started since December 27, when he allowed four goals on 26 shots in a loss to the Penguins. He has lost his last three starts while allowing 11 goals. Tonight he would face the Predators, who he beat 5-2 on December 5.

Justin Peters
Staal (lower-body) will miss the next 5-6 days says Hurricanes head coach Kirk Muller.

Staal should miss the next three games and could potentially miss four if he is not ready to go by Friday vs. the Blue Jackets. With Staal out, Muller expects to shuffle the lines and says Tuomo Ruutu and Jeff Skinner will both see time at centre.

Eric Staal
Bobrovsky starts on Monday.

Bobrovsky will start his first game since December 3. He missed more than a month with a groin injury that he suffered in that contest. Before getting hurt he was 10-11-2 with a 2.72 GAA and .909 SV%, not quite the year you would expect from the reigning Vezina Trophy winner. He will face a Rangers team who beat him 4-2 on November 7.

Sergei Bobrovsky
Jean-Sebastien Giguere will be back between the pipes Monday when the Avs host the Calgary Flames.

Giguere allowed seven goals on 24 shots before being yanked for the third period vs. Chicago on December 27. After winning his first seven starts, he has now lost his last three and sits at 7-3-0 with a 2.51 GAA and .918 SV%. He will face a Flames team who he is 2-0-0 against this season.

HIller should start tonight vs. the Canucks.

HIller has won 10 straight starts, tonight is a big game vs. a divisional foe and the Ducks are off on Monday - all signs point towards HIller getting the nod as they welcome Vancouver.

Jonas Hiller
Ward (lower-body) has been placed on IR retroactive to December 31.

Ward will miss his third consecutive game tonight. His placement forces Ward to miss seven days, but he is expected to be out longer. He is eligible to come off IR for Thursday's contest vs. Toronto. The Hurricanes will continue to roll with Anton Khudobin and Justin Peters while Ward is sidelined.

Cam Ward
Harrison (concussion) has been activated from IR.

Harrison has missed the last six games with a concussion that he suffered on December 21. He is expected to slide back onto the Hurricanes blueline tonight vs. Nashville. Harrison has recorded seven points (2G / 5A) with a plus-3 rating in 32 games. To make room for him the Hurricanes moved Cam Ward (lower-body) to IR.

Jay Harrison
The Canucks have recalled forward Benn Ferriero from Utica (AHL).

Ferriero is in his first season with the Canucks organization. He has recorded 22 points (10 G / 12A) in 32 games with Utica and has totalled 23 points (14G / 9A) in 96 career NHL games. There is no word on if a forward is ailing which would have triggered Ferriero's recall.

The Rangers have reassigned Connor Allen to Hartford (AHL).

Allen dressed in three games for the Rangers, he was held off the score sheet and was a minus-1. He returns to Hartford where he has 13 points (5G / 8A) in 29 games.

Conor Allen
The Blues have assigned goaltender Jake Allen to Chicago (AHL).

Allen, 23, has dressed in 23 games for Chicago this season, ranking fourth among all AHL goalies with 14 wins (14-7-2) while his 2.17 GAA ranks third and his .922 SV% is 10th best. His demotion to the AHL means that Jaroslav Halak is back to full health and will suit up on Tuesday, whether as the start or the back-up.

Jake Allen
Myers will have a discipline phone hearing tomorrow after delivering an illegal check to the head of Dainius Zubrus on Saturday.

The Sabres have three games this week, so monitor Myers status on Monday before finalizing your lineups in weekly leagues. With a phone hearing he is not expected to be given a lengthy suspension, but as a repeat offender he will likely get at least one game.

Tyler Myers
Gonchar (concussion) is probable for Monday's game vs. the Islanders.

Gonchar has missed the last six games after being concussed on December 21. He reportedly looked great in Stars' practice on Sunday and should be in the lineup tomorrow. In his first season with Dallas he has no goals and 12 assists with a minus-5 rating in 35 games.

Sergei Gonchar
Ramo starts for the Flames on Monday.

Ramo stopped 27 of 29 shots in a 2-0 loss to the Lightning on Friday. It was a good outing for Ramo, but he was out-duelled by Ben Bishop. He will get his third start of the season vs. the Avalanche on Monday. In the first two meetings he is 0-2-0 with a 3.06 GAA and .882 SV%.

Karri Ramo
Staal (lower-body) is not expected to play tonight vs. the Predators.

Staal played just 9:48 on Saturday before leaving the game and not returning. The Hurricanes recalled Aaron Palushaj from Charlotte today, who would make his Hurricanes debut with Staal out. Losing Staal would be a huge loss for the Hurricanes, he currently leads the team in points with 35 (10G / 25A) in 42 games.

Eric Staal
Salo (upper-body) skated with Victor Hedman this morning, a good sign that he will return to the lineup tonight.

Salo is expected to return tonight after missed the last four games with an upper-body injury that he suffered on December 23 vs. the Panthers. He had been skating for the last few days, so there is a really good chance that he returns tonight vs. the Oilers. He has one goal and six assists in 34 games.

Hutton starts for the Predators.

Hutton will get his first start since December 27, a night he allowed four goals on 34 shots in a loss to the Stars. He has not won since December 14 and has been yanked twice in his last four starts. Tonight he takes on a Hurricanes team who have won three straight.

Carter Hutton
Gudbranson (face) will travel with the Panthers on their upcoming three-game road-trip.

Gudbranson has missed the last five games after undergoing surgery on a broken orbital bone. The Panthers could use Gudbranson on the road-trip because Dylan Olsen and Alex Petrovic will not be available. If he can't go tomorrow, Mike Mottau would enter the lineup for the first time since December 3.
