The Hurricanes have reassigned Mike Murphy to Charlotte (AHL).

Murphy served as Justin Peters backup for 10 games while Cam Ward was on IR. Ward was activated and will start tonight so Murphy heads back to Charlotte where he is 1-2-0 with a 3.81 GAA and .873 SV%.

Montoya starts for the Jets.

Montoya allowed four goals on 28 shots in a loss to the Blackhawks on October 6. Ondrej Pavelec has been fantastic as of late, but Montoya will get the nod on the second day of a back-to-back. Montoya has a good matchup vs. a Flames team who have lost six in a row.

Winnipeg Jets defenceman Zach Bogosian is "week-to-week" with a groin strain, head coach Claude Noel said Sunday.

"He has a moderate groin strain and so he's more week-to-week right now," Noel told reporters Sunday morning. "That's pretty much where he's at. How many weeks? We'll just deal with week-to-week. We have to see how it progresses and stuff like that." Bogosian was hurt during the second period of Winnipeg's 3-2 shootout win over Philadelphia Friday evening. With Bogosian out, defenceman Zach Redmond made his first regular-season NHL appearance since he suffered a horrifying cut to his femoral artery during practice on Feb. 21. But while Redmond drew into the lineup, it was Keaton Ellerby who took Bogosian's customary position with Toby Enstrom against the Wild.

Dubnyk gets the nod on Tuesday.

Ilya Bryzgalov's Oilers debut will have to wait while Dubnyk starts tomorrow vs. Columbus. He stopped 33 of 35 shots in a win over the Flames on Saturday. Despite a strong matchup tomorrow, Dubnyk's 4-10-1 record with a 3.54 GAA and .889 SV% doesn't provide owners with any confidence. He is only relevant in deep leagues.

The Blackhawks have agreed to terms with forward Ryan Hartman on a three-year contract.

Hartman, 19, was the Blackhawks first round pick (30th overall) in this year's NHL Entry Draft. The 5-foot-11, 181 lbs. forward had 60 points (23G / 37A), a plus-29 rating and 120 PIMs in 56 games with the Plymouth Whalers last season. In 2013-14 he has 21 points (10G / 11A), a minus-14 rating and 38 PIMs in 20 games with Plymouth.

DeKeyser (illness) did not skate this morning but is expected to dress on Tuesday.

DeKeyser has acclimated himself well in his first full NHL season. He is averaging 21:47 TOI but has seen a recent bump in minutes because of the injury to Jonathan Ericsson and his overall strong play. DeKeyser has two goals and seven assists in 21 games this season and should be a waiver wire consideration for team's lacking depth on the blueline.

Dan DeKeyser
Smith (shoulder) expects to play on Tuesday.

Smith has missed the last six games after suffering a shoulder injury on November 2. Once considered a top-prospect with loads of offensive upside, Smith had just eight assists in 34 games last season and has only recorded a single assist with a minus-7 rating in 11 games this year. The Red Wings may dress seventh defensemen tomorrow, so it is unknown where Smith will slot in.

The Dallas Stars have reassigned forward Travis Morin to the Texas Stars (AHL)

Morin, 29, was recalled from Texas on November 12 and appeared in Dallas' last three contests, where he registered two shots and a plus-1 rating. Prior to being recalled, he led the AHL with 24 points (10G / 14 A) in 13 games this season. Morin was also selected as the AHL Player of the Month for October, registering 19 points in eight games (8G / 11A).

The Stars have recalled defenseman Aaron Rome from Texas (AHL).

Rome, 30, has skated in eight games for Texas this season, registering one assist and a plus-1 rating. The 6-foot-1, 220-pound defenseman was Los Angeles' fourth-round selection (104th overall) in the 2002 NHL Draft and was signed by Dallas as a free agent on July 1, 2012.

The Wild have reassigned Johan Gustafsson to Iowa (AHL).

Gustafsson did not appear in a game for Minnesota and will return to Iowa where he is 3-1-0 with a 2.45 GAA and .920 SV%. Darcy Kuemper has been recalled to backup Josh Harding.
