Strait has missed the last five Isles games with an upper-body injury. With the IR move being retroactive to the 24th, he is eligible to return to the lineup whenever he is healthy.

Orlov tallied an AHL career-high four points (one goal, three assists) on Oct. 19 in the Bears’ 4-0 win over the St. John’s IceCaps.

Merrill was the 38th overall pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He is a solid two-way defenseman, who is a great skater and puck distributor. Merrill had a strong pre-season and could have made the team out of camp, but was sent to Albany for seasoning. With Peter Harrold and Bryce Salvador on IR a spot has opened up for him. Merrill has two goals and five assists in 11 games with Albany.

Harrold has missed the last four games and has not played since October 22. He has no points and a minus-6 rating through nine games. Jon Merrill was recalled from Albany to fill-in for Harrold.

Schneider has had a strong start to the season, but the Devils 25th ranked offence have held him to just one win. Schneider has a 2.14 GAA and .915 SV%, he will look to pick up his second win of the season tonight against the Wild, after a short stint on IR. The Wild's offence isn't much better (21st), but they rank 6th in team GAA.

Orlov has not appear in a game with the Capitals but has earned six points (one goal, five assists) in six games with Hershey this season.
