PWHL San Jose signs Daniela Pejsova to two-year contract

PWHL San Jose announced Sunday they signed defender Daniela Pejsova to a two-year contract.

Pejsova spent the 2025-26 season with the Boston Fleet, where she recorded two goals and two assists for four points, averaging 14:44 of ice time in 27 regular-season games. She also appeared in four playoff games.
In two PWHL seasons, the 23-year-old has two goals and five assists for seven points in 55 games.
Before moving to North America, Pejsova spent six seasons in Sweden, where she scored 28 goals and 40 assists for 68 points in 174 career regular-season games. She also spent parts of three seasons in both the second- and third-tier Czech leagues, where in 66 combined games between the two divisions, she scored 51 goals and 37 assists for 88 total points.
Internationally, she won two bronze medals at the World Championship with Czechia in 2022 and 2023. She is also a two-time Olympian (2022 and 2026).

The deal will keep her with the club through the 2027-28 season. She becomes the 10th player the team has signed and the second of two players to be added during phase four of the PWHL’s expansion process. Earlier in the day, San Jose signed Natalie Mlynkova to a one-year deal.
The two players join the likes of Rory Guilday and Corinne Schroeder, Anne Cherkowski, Kristin O’Neill, Maddi Wheeler, Hadley Hartmetz and Mariah Keopple.
Last month, San Jose hired former Toronto Sceptres head coach Troy Ryan as both their head coach and general manager.
