Appleton has one assist in four AHL games and no points in nine NHL games this season. He is expected to skate on the third line with Adam Lowry and Gabriel Bourque on Thursday.

Winnipeg head coach Paul Maurice announced on Wednesday that Copp is week-to-week and isn't expected to play before the Christmas break, so his move to IR opens up a roster spot for Mason Appleton to be called-up from Manitoba (AHL).
