Skinner starts Friday vs. the Canucks.

Skinner stopped 24 of 27 shots (.889 SV%) to snap a personal three-game losing skid with a victory over Dallas in his last start. The 24-year-old Edmonton native has taken the reigns of the starting position in Edmonton, with his 10-8-1 record, 2.84 GAA and .913 SV%. He will face the Vancouver Canucks, who are coming off a 6-5 victory over Seattle in their last game and are 10th in the NHL in goals per game with 3.29.

He takes on the Boston Bruns, who have the league's best record and have won three of their last four games with a victory over Florida in their last game.

Skinner is fresh off signing a three-year extension ($2.6 mill AAV) and has been fantastic this season, with his 9-8-1 record, 2.83 GAA and.915 SV%. He takes on the Dallas Stars, who have won three of their last four games after a 2-1 victory over Columbus their last time out.

Connor Hellebuyck is travelling with the Jets and will be available to play next game (illness).

Hellebuyck missed the Jets' game Tuesday due to an illness but will be back and in the lineup for their next games and a start either Thursday or Friday. Winnipeg will be happy the illness did not last long as Hellebuyck has been sensational this season, with his 16-7-1 record, 2.33 GAA and .928 SV%.

Rasmus Kupari has been recalled from Ontario (AHL).

Kupari has two goals, three assists, 13 SOG, and eight PIMs through 18 games with the Kings and will head back to the big club from the Ontario Reign (AHL) Monday. In the minors he had five goals, nine points and 22 PIMs in 11 games prior to his promotion.

Isaak Phillips has been recalled from Rockford (AHL).

Phillips has been recalled from Rockford (AHL) as a replacement after Jarred Tinordi was placed on the injured reserve Monday (face). Phillips has been having a strong season in the AHL, with three goals, 17 points, 32 PIMs and a +17 plus/minus through 25 games played with Rockford.

Barron has been enjoying a successful first full NHL season, with three goals, nine points and 32 SOG through 18 games but will be a game-time decision Thursday as he deals with an undisclosed injury. Barron joins Hansen Harkins as one of two game-time decisions for the Jets' Thursday.
