Rask will likely start Tuesday vs. the Capitals.

Rask allowed five goals on 30 shots in the Bruins loss to the Canadiens in the Winter Classic. The stat line looks bad, but Rask was the only reason the Bruins didn’t get blown out in the first period. It was a tough start to 2016 for Rask, but if he can pick up where he left off in December, the Bruins will be in tremendous hands.

Tuukka Rask
Bolland (lower-body) is out until after the All Star break.

Bolland has missed the last nine games with a lower-body injury and conditioning stint, but is still not healthy enough to rejoin the Panthers lineup. Bolland will be out until early-February.

Dave Bolland
Cammalleri (upper-body) will not play on Monday.

Cammalleri will miss his second straight game with an upper-body injury. Cammalleri skated on his own on Sunday, but is still not well enough to play vs. the Red Wings this evening. Consider him day-to-day and his injury means that Tyler Kennedy will continue to skate in the top-6.

Michael Cammalleri
Prust is questionable for Monday with a knee injury.

Prust suffered a knee injury in a collision with Ryan Kesler in Friday’s win over the Ducks. Prust has dealt with ankle injuries earlier in the year and now it looks like he may miss time with a banged up knee. With Prust likely out, Jared McCann is expected to be back in the lineup.

Brandon Prust
Schneider will start Monday vs. the Red Wings.

Schneider allowed two goals on 31 shots in the Devils win over the Stars on Saturday. Schneider has won three of his last four starts while posting a 2.01 GAA and .933 SV%. Tonight he draws a matchup that he’s enjoyed this season—he’ll face the Red Wings for the third time after going 2-0-0 with a 2.42 GAA and .912 SV% in the first two meetings.

Cory Schneider
The Blue Jackets have recalled Joonas Korpisalo from Lake Erie (AHL).

Korpisalo was originally sent down because Sergei Bobrovsky was expected to return to the crease, but Bobrovsky suffered a setback and is back on IR. Then, Curtis McElhinney landed on IR, so back comes Korpisalo, who will join Anton Forsberg as the Blue Jackets’ goalies for the foreseeable future. Korpisalo is 1-4-0 with a 3.65 GAA and .886 SV% in five starts.

Joonas Korpisalo
McElhinney (ankle) has been placed on IR; out indefinitely

McElhinney left Saturday’s game vs. the Capitals with an ankle injury and did not return. On Monday he was placed on IR but the Blue Jackets didn’t offer any insight on how long he would be out, other than “out indefinitely.” With McElhinney and Sergei Bobrovsky now out, the Blue Jackets will have a goalie tandem of Anton Forsberg and Joonas Korpisalo.

Curtis McElhinney
The Blackhawks have acquired Richard Panik from the Maple Leafs for Jeremy Morin.

Panik, 24, was a second round pick (52nd overall) in 2009 and has 25 points (9G / 16A) in 33 games with the Marlies this season. Panik has 39 career points (19G / 20A) in 151 NHL games with the Lightning and the Maple Leafs. He will report to Rockford (AHL).

Jeremy Morin
Domingue will be between the pipes on Monday.

Domingue allowed three goals on 41 shots in the Coyotes loss in Edmonton On Saturday. It was another 30-plus save outing for Domingue, who has faced 30-plus shots in four of his last five starts—he has gone 2-1-2 with a 2.95 GAA and .919 SV% over that span. He has played well since being called up and tonight he faces a Canucks team that has won three of their last four.

Louis Domingue
Elliott will be in goal on Monday vs. the Senators.

Elliott made 35 saves on 37 shots in the Blues loss in Dallas on December 27th. Jake Allen has started six of the last seven games, but Elliott will get an opportunity tonight vs. the Senators. He hasn’t had a tonne of playing time, but he’s been solid when called up, especially at home—Elliott is 2-1-1 with a 2.06 GAA and .925 SV% at Scottrade Center this season.

Brian Elliott
Gibson will start Sunday vs. the Jets.

Gibson stopped all 21 shots that he faced in the Ducks shutout win over the Oilers on Thursday. Gibson has posted back-to-back shutouts, stopping all 35 shots that he’s faced and has won three consecutive. Frederik Andersen got the call on Friday, but they’ll go back to Gibson vs. the Jets—Winnipeg has won three of their last four.
