Daily Fantasy Hockey Notebook | 12-11-17
Whether you spend your entire day at work or school, it can be difficult to stay on top of all NHL news. That’s why I have created the Daily Fantasy Notebook, so you can catch up on everything you might have missed throughout the day.
The notebook will be released everyday after teams wrap up their morning skate. It will include a number of things: Injury updates, prominent line changes, goalie rankings and DFS value picks.
While this is obviously more geared towards daily fantasy hockey, it can be just as useful for season-long players as well. Injuries are obviously key, but important line changes could be viewed as as potential waiver wire pickups and the goalie rankings can help you make the tough starting goalie decisions you face on large slates.
Key Injuries
IN
– Aleksander Barkov (upper-body) will return to the Panthers lineup.
– Steve Mason (concussion) has been activated from IR; expected to dress as Connor Hellebuyck’s backup.
– Jakob Silfverberg (upper-body) will return after a five-game absence.
– Ryan Getzlaf (face) will return after a 19-game absence.
GAME-TIME DECISION
– Patric Hornqvist (face) will be a game-time decision.
– Tom Kuhnhackl (upper-body) will be a game-time decision.
– Johnny Boychuk (undisclosed) will be game-time decision.
OUT
– Mika Zibanejad (concussion) skated this morning but has not been cleared for contact.
– Antoine Roussel is questionable to play in New York due to an elbow injury.
– Matt Murray (lower-body) skated this morning but will not be available tonight.
– Dustin Byfuglien is week-to-week with a lower-body injury.
– Sven Baertschi will miss 4-6 weeks with a fractured jaw
