Daily Fantasy Hockey Notebook | 12-07-17
Whether you spend your entire day at work or school, it can be difficult to stay on top of all NHL news. That’s why I have created the Daily Fantasy Notebook, so you can catch up on everything you might have missed throughout the day.
The notebook will be released everyday after teams wrap up their morning skate. It will include a number of things: Injury updates, prominent line changes, goalie rankings and DFS value picks.
While this is obviously more geared towards daily fantasy hockey, it can be just as useful for season-long players as well. Injuries are obviously key, but important line changes could be viewed as as potential waiver wire pickups and the goalie rankings can help you make the tough starting goalie decisions you face on large slates.
Key Injuries
– Jake DeBrusk (upper-body) will be back in the Bruins top-6.
– Ryan Spooner (lower-body) has been ruled out for Thursday and could land on IR again.
– Antti Raanta (upper-body) will dress as Scott Wedgewood’s backup.
– Justin Schultz (lower-body) was placed on IR this morning (Chad Ruhwedel expected to take his spot on the blueline)
– Casey Cizikas (lower-body) will return to the Islanders lineup.
– Alan Quine is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury.
– Johnny Boychuk (undisclosed) is day-to-day and will not play Thursday (Thomas Hickey re-enters the lineup for Boychuk)
– Jaromir Jagr (lower-body) will be a game-time decision (he would replace Matthew Tkachuk, who is suspended)
-Jonathan Drouin (illness) is questionable for Thursday’s game.
– Roberto Luongo will miss multiple weeks with a lower-body injury (Harri Sateri will be James Reimer’s backup)
– Braydon Coburn (lower-body) will miss his third straight game.
– Jake Dotchin (undisclosed) will miss his eighth straight contest.
– Patrik Nemeth (undisclosed) will play for the first time since November 5th.
– Ben Bishop will not be available because of a sore back (Mike McKenna has been called-up to backup Kari Lehtonen)
– Bo Horvat is expected to miss up to six weeks with a fractured foot (Alex Burmistrov will replace him tonight)
– Paul Martin (ankle) will be back with Brent Burns on the Sharks bluline (Brenden Dillon is suspended and will come out)
